Re: Next Season Rivalries

Fans will no doubt recall that Posh beat both play off finalists 4-0 at London Rd. We get to play Pompey again next season.

We could possibly see Wigan at London Road next season if 12 points are deducted from them for going into administration.
Wigan is a derby for us?
It's a small world.

Re: The Politics of Coronavirus

A few days ago it was announced that 50% of imported cases of Covid-19 are from Pakistan. Today there are moves afoot for a local lockdown in Leicester because of the surge of cases. Is there any connection between the two?

It's good to see that Premier League players are wearing their names on their shirts again.

Re: The Forces Sweetheart

At the time I didn't go much on her ; I was more into Glen Miller and Tommy Dorsey records. But she did a great job for the lads in the armed forces and was a greatly loved lass. RIP Dame Vera.

Re: Black Lives Matter

I despair. The quite legitimate concerns of the indigenous man in the street has been hi-jacked by the Far Right - the very sort of folk who our parents fought and died fighting against in WW2. In doing so they have handed a propaganda walkover to the BAME establishment so beloved by the BBC.

Re: Black Lives Matter

I can well remember when the Windrush docked my Grandad saying "No good will come of this. They'll be telling us what to do and think before long" - translated from his "Broad Yorkshire".

Re: Dominic Cummings

Car crash stuff on the news tonight!!! This liar hasn't even been elected, time to get rid now. Once you break trust, it's hard to get it back. Time to pack your bags Dom! For once I agree with you. His position is unsustainable but he seems to have a hold on Johnson who is too weak to get rid of h...

Re: Coronavirus

I don't know whether it is Government policy or just a lack of cohesion but the data that is presented at the teatime briefings changes from day to day. Now it is not possible to deduce how many deaths occurred in English care homes as compared to hospitals as was previously possible. Is this a ploy...

Re: Football in Germany

I dipped into the Dortmund-Schalke game this afternoon. From the football purist the game wasn't too bad apart from the poor performance of the Schalke goalie on his debut but there was none of the usual atmosphere, just a few shouts echoing around the stadium.
